All along, all alone now. The wicks burnt out, the lantern’s faded out.
What path have I been carving? Has a path been carved for me?
A feeling of emptiness. The moon’s face is all I see.
Back on the path, the pathway home.
I will wait for the bricks to lay themselves.

The weight of the sand within this tired hourglass, the moment draws closer.
Becoming mud soaked in beads of sweat. Break these walls, and begin again.
Time wears me out like a stone in tide.
I wish to break these walls and start again.

Every tree uprooted. Every plant wilted. Every day longer and every wound pounding.
The snow and the rain repeat. Denting the ground each day. The time for reflection.
I keep tossing coins into this empty well by no fault of my own am I being punished.
There’s no judge and the jury’s in my head

The current of streams to strong to hold back
The glimpse of light, keeping tomorrow alive.
Which way have I been running? There’s only one way home.
The straight path before me. About to fall off the edge.
Something holds me true... the sight before me.
Walking this path for far too long. Suddenly engulfed in grains of sand.

Paved roads return me back home. I arrive staring at the empty room. Never been here, built with my own two hands. Find what’s missing retrace my steps. Flip the hourglass once again.
The sun still rose back then.
